Padlet is an online board where your class shares ideas, questions, and work. Here’s how to add and change a post.
Web links open in a new tab.
Before you start
Use your KCTCS email for Padlet
Sign in at padlet.com/owensboro (opens in a new tab) with your KCTCS email. If you sign up with a personal email or a personal Google account instead, Padlet puts you in a separate personal account that’s limited to 3 padlets and isn’t connected to OCTC.
If your instructor’s padlet shows an error
Copy the padlet’s link and paste it into a different browser.
Still not working? Contact your instructor. The padlet’s sharing settings most likely need a fix on their side, and it’s a quick change.
Open the padlet
Use the link your instructor put in Blackboard. Read the prompt at the top, and the one on each column or section, so you know where your post goes.
Sign in with your KCTCS email before you post, unless your instructor says not to. Signing in is free for students and lets you change your post later.
Add a post
Select + Post. On a phone, double-tap it.
Add a title, your text, or an attachment, such as an image, a link, a document, or a short recording.
Select Publish.
No + Post button? The padlet may be closed for posts. Check the directions or ask your instructor.
Change or remove your post
If you were signed in when you posted, you can edit your post as long as you stay signed in.
If you posted without signing in, Padlet only remembers that the post is yours until you close the browser or clear its history. After that, ask your instructor to change or remove it.
Before you post
Everyone in the class can usually see your post. Write it the way you would speak in class.
Don’t post personal information, passwords, or anything private about other people.
Some padlets show your name and some don’t. Your instructor’s directions will say which.
If you post an image, add a sentence that says what it shows.
Posting from your phone works. The Padlet app is optional.
