Why this matters
Students who struggle in college are usually capable enough. The trouble is that the rules changed and nobody explained the new ones: what's expected, how to ask for help, and what it means to own your learning.
This module puts those things on the table early, while there's still time to build the right habits. What you set up here, including your goal, your sense of what college expects, and your first look at the skills and tools you'll use all semester, becomes the foundation for everything that follows. New to this book? Take a few minutes with How to Use This Book first.
