Start Your STAR(T) Stories
This module is your working time. Here's the short path.
This module is your working time for your STAR(T) Stories. The best time to start is now.
You'll tell four STAR(T) Stories for your capstone. The earlier you get one done, the easier the rest get, because you'll already know what the process feels like. Everything you need is in the STAR(T) Stories Guide. This is the short path through it.
Three steps to start
Gather your Mile Markers
Your best stories are probably already written down. Find the Mile Markers you submitted in Blackboard, or the PDFs you saved. Forms in this book only save in the browser on the device you used, so if you switched devices, Blackboard has your copies.
Choose your four skills
Three are assigned: Adaptability & Leadership, Professionalism, and Knowledge Application. The fourth is your choice. Prompts for every skill will help you find the moment that fits each one. You'll name all four in Question 4 of Mile Marker #11.
Draft one story, then say it out loud
Pick the story you feel surest about and work through its practice guide. Then read it out loud once. When you're ready, Tell It Out Loud walks you through recording in Blackboard.
Recording is strongly encouraged, because "Tell me about a time when..." is exactly what you'll hear in job interviews. Stories are never scored on delivery, only on the story and its structure.
